Paul Kuen

**Paul Kuen** was a celebrated German operatic tenor renowned for his powerful performances in Wagnerian roles during the mid-20th century. Born in 1910 and active until his passing in 1997, Kuen became a staple in European opera houses, particularly admired for his interpretations of Wagner’s demanding works like *Siegfried* and *Tristan und Isolde*. His rich, dramatic voice and commanding stage presence made him a favorite among conductors, including collaborations with legends like Karl Böhm.

Though best known for Wagner, Kuen also shone in Mozart’s classics, such as *Die Zauberflöte*.
