Jeremy Ovenden

Jeremy Ovenden is a highly regarded British tenor, celebrated especially for his interpretations of Mozart roles. He trained at the Royal College of Music in London and studied privately with the renowned tenor Nicolai Gedda. Ovenden has performed major Mozart tenor parts like Ferrando in *Così fan tutte*, Don Ottavio in *Don Giovanni*, and Tito in *La clemenza di Tito* at prestigious venues including the Royal Opera House, Staatsoper Berlin, La Scala in Milan, and the Salzburg Festival. Beyond Mozart, his repertoire covers a wide range of Baroque and Classical works with noted conductors such as Sir Colin Davis, Nikolaus Harnoncourt, and René Jacobs.

In concert, Ovenden is acclaimed for his performances of Bach Passions where he often sings the Evangelist role, as well as works by Haydn, Handel, Britten, and Berlioz. His recordings include Haydn’s *The Seasons*, Bach’s *St Mark Passion* and *St John Passion*, and Handel’s *Saul*, showcasing his particular strength in historic and classical oratorio repertoire. Versatile and in-demand internationally, he is recognized for both operatic roles and concert appearances, frequently appearing with leading orchestras such as the London Symphony Orchestra and the Philadelphia Orchestra.
