**The Turbans** are a London-based collective serving up a vibrant fusion of global sounds, from Balkan brass to Middle Eastern melodies and psychedelic grooves. Since forming in 2013, this genre-blurring band has become a festival favorite, lighting up stages at Glastonbury, WOMAD, and Beyond the Border with their energetic live shows. Their self-titled 2017 debut album showcased their eclectic style, weaving together instruments like the oud, violin, and darbuka with lyrics in over 10 languages. Tracks like “Mesechinka” and “Aman” (later remixed by electronic producer Gaudi) highlight their ability to bridge traditions while keeping dancefloors buzzing.
