Estelle Revaz

Estelle Revaz is a Swiss cellist born in 1989 in Martigny, Switzerland, known for her profound musical curiosity and expressive sound. She began her musical journey in Switzerland before advancing her studies at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris under Jérôme Pernoo and later at the Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Köln with Maria Kliegel. Early in her career, she won several prestigious awards, including the First Prize of the Fondazione Antonio Salieri di Legnago, which launched her international soloist tours across Italy, Germany, and the Netherlands. Her repertoire is wide-ranging, spanning from baroque concerts to world premieres of contemporary works, and she has performed across Europe, Asia, and South America. Since 2017, she has held a teaching position in cello and chamber music at the Kalaidos University for Music in Zurich and frequently gives masterclasses internationally. She currently plays a historic cello built in 1679 and a bow from 1825, generously provided by Swiss patrons.

In addition to her musical career, Estelle Revaz is active in politics, serving as a member of the Swiss National Council since December 2023 for the Social Democratic Party. Her artistic journey is also marked by a rich cultural tapestry, including experiences in Latin America where she worked with several orchestras and as a pianist at the Colón Theater in Buenos Aires. This international background deeply informs her performances and collaborations, making her a dynamic and engaging presence in the classical music scene.
