Amberian Dawn

Amberian Dawn is a Finnish symphonic metal band formed in 2006 by Tuomas Seppälä, the keyboardist and chief composer, and guitarist Tommi Kuri. Their sound is characterized by dramatic, classical orchestration tied with melodic metal, all driven by the striking vocals that have been fronted by several singers over the years. Beginning with Heidi Parviainen until her departure in 2012, and subsequently with Päivi "Capri" Virkkunen, who brought in a more versatile, rock-oriented voice that started a new chapter for the band's sound and storytelling.

With a rich discography that showcases a penchant for narrative depth and mythological themes, Amberian Dawn has often delved into fantastical worlds and stories dovetailed with soaring guitar solos and intricate keyboard work. They even explored the inspirational power of ABBA's music through metal lenses with their "Take a Chance - a Metal Tribute to Abba," bringing a unique flavor to classic pop tunes through their signature symphonic metal style. The band has left a notable mark on the European metal scene, continuously evolving their sound while maintaining the robust, melodic backbone that has garnered them a dedicated fan base. Albums like "Darkness of Eternity" and "Magic Forest" showcase their ability to blend power metal velocity with symphonic grandeur, keeping the listener engaged with a compelling mix of bombast and beauty.
