M'Toro Chamou

M'Toro Chamou, born in 1974 in Dzaoudzi, Mayotte, is a celebrated singer-songwriter and guitarist known for his unique blend of traditional Mahoran music and modern influences, including rock, blues, and folk. His journey in music began in the mid-90s when he performed with the rap group M’Tsapéré Power. However, it was his collaborations with artists like Baco and Mikidache that marked a pivotal point in his career, leading to his recognition as one of the leading voices of Mayotte music.
