Master's Hammer

Master's Hammer is an influential Czech black metal band renowned for their eclectic blend of dark and atmospheric sonic elements. The band was formed in 1987 by vocalist and multi-instrumentalist František "Storm" Štorm and has undergone various lineup changes throughout its existence. Master's Hammer initially gained notoriety within the underground metal scene with their debut album "Ritual" in 1991, lauded for its unique mixture of black metal with avant-garde and classical influences. Following their experimental and symphonic release "Jilemnický okultista" in 1992, the band continued to push the boundaries of the genre.

In recent years, Master's Hammer has experienced a resurgence, producing several albums that maintain their experimental legacy while exploring new creative realms. "Slagry" (1995), a peculiar departure from their black metal roots, showcases a fusion of genres, incorporating elements of industrial music and Czech folk, illustrating the band's versatility. After a significant hiatus, they resurfaced with a more traditional black metal sound in "Vracejte Konve Na Místo" (2012). Subsequent albums "Formulæ" (2016) and "Fascinator" (2018) continue Master's Hammer's tradition of fusing raw, blackened metal with atmospheric textures and idiosyncratic structures, underscoring their standing as pioneers and perpetual innovators within the metal dominion. Their commitment to musical and thematic experimentation has solidified Master's Hammer's reputation as one of the most enigmatic and enduring entities in the black metal genre.
