Bart Aerbeydt

Bart Aerbeydt is a renowned horn player known for his expertise in both modern and natural horn. He studied modern horn at the music academies of Ghent and Antwerp, and later pursued natural horn studies at the Sweelinck Conservatory in Amsterdam. Aerbeydt has become a prominent figure in the Early Music scene, often performing with leading orchestras. He was appointed as the associate and permanent first horn with the Freiburg Baroque Orchestra in 2011. In addition to his performance career, Aerbeydt teaches natural horn at the Amsterdam Conservatory and the Antwerp Conservatory. His recent projects include the release of the album »Auf der Jagd nach Romantik«, which features solo repertoire and is set to be released on the Aparte label in collaboration with the Freiburg Baroque Orchestra.

Aerbeydt's work also includes performances of classical pieces such as Beethoven's Sextet and Rosetti's Concerto for 2 Horns and Orchestra, showcasing his versatility and mastery of the horn. His contributions to the Early Music scene are significant, and his teaching roles help ensure the continuation of traditional horn playing techniques.
