Hermann Reutter

Hermann Reutter was a German composer, conductor, and music educator who lived from 1900 to 1985. He is best known for his operas, including "Die Brücke von San Luis Rey" (The Bridge of San Luis Rey), which won the Pulitzer Prize for Music in 1958. Reutter's music is characterized by its lyrical melodies, rich harmonies, and dramatic intensity. He was also a skilled conductor and teacher, and he helped to shape the careers of many young musicians.
