Blasphemer

Rune Eriksen, better known as Blasphemer, is a Norwegian guitarist with a deep history in the black metal scene. He's probably most famous for his time in Mayhem, where his distinctive, dissonant, and experimental guitar work shaped the sound of the band on landmark albums like *Grand Declaration of War*. While he's no longer with Mayhem, Blasphemer has continued to explore extreme music through various projects, including Aura Noir and Ava Inferi. He's known for his innovative approach to black metal, pushing boundaries and incorporating elements from other genres.

More recently, Blasphemer has embarked on a solo career, focusing on a more experimental and avant-garde sound that incorporates elements of industrial, noise, and ambient music. His recent releases, including *Stabat Mater (MMXXIII)* and a series of singles like "Hail, King of the Jews!" and "Ritual Theophagy," showcase a darker, more introspective, and often unsettling soundscape. These works demonstrate a continued evolution and exploration of sonic textures, moving beyond traditional black metal structures.
