HIZAKI

HIZAKI is a Japanese visual kei metal guitarist and composer, best known for his work with the symphonic power metal band Versailles and as the leader of the band Jupiter. Born on February 17, 1979, in Kyoto, he began his music career in the late 1990s, playing in various visual kei bands such as Garnet Grave, Crack Brain, and Schwardix Marvally before launching his solo career in 2004. His solo project, HIZAKI Grace Project, features a mix of instrumental virtuosity and melodic richness, often incorporating collaborations with vocalists from the visual kei scene. HIZAKI is recognized for his flamboyant guitar style and has continued to release new material, including his recent EP "Eidolon" in 2025.

Throughout his career, HIZAKI has been notable not just for his technical skills but also for his composition abilities, blending classical influences with metal guitar work to create a distinctive sound. Besides his solo work, he has maintained active roles in both Versailles and Jupiter, two bands with distinct styles and vocalists, reflecting his versatile approach to music. His dedication to melody and the visual kei aesthetic has earned him a dedicated fan base both in Japan and internationally.
