The SWR Symphonieorchester is a German orchestra based in Stuttgart and Baden-Baden. It was founded in 1998 through the merger of the Radio Symphony Orchestra Stuttgart and the Southwest German Radio Symphony Orchestra Baden-Baden and Freiburg. The orchestra performs regularly at the Liederhalle in Stuttgart and the Festspielhaus Baden-Baden, and has toured extensively throughout Europe, Asia, and the Americas. The SWR Symphonieorchester has collaborated with many renowned conductors, including Gustavo Dudamel, Valery Gergiev, and Simon Rattle.
