DoubleBeats

DoubleBeats is a percussion duo founded in 2012 by Ni Fan from China and Lukas Böhm from Germany. They met during their studies at the Hanns Eisler Academy of Music in Berlin. The duo has quickly established itself on the international concert scene, performing a wide range of music from classical to contemporary pieces. Their repertoire includes works by Bach, Piazzolla, and Bartók, as well as commissioned compositions for traditional and modern instruments. DoubleBeats has performed at notable events such as the Konzerthaus Berlin and the International Mercedes-Benz Music Festival in China, where they were named Young Artists of the Year in 2012. They have released albums like "Fascination of Percussion" and have won several awards, including the Ritter Prize for outstanding interpretation and first prizes at the Universal Marimba Competition and the OSAKA International Music Competition. DoubleBeats is endorsed by Yamaha and Sabian Cymbals and actively participates in music outreach programs through Yehudi Menuhin's Live Music Now initiative.
