The Mark of Cain is an industrial rock band formed in 1983 in Los Angeles, California. The band's sound is characterized by its heavy use of distorted guitars, synthesizers, and drum machines, as well as its dark and introspective lyrics. The Mark of Cain has released a number of albums over the years, including "Songs of the Third and Fifth" (1985), "This Is This" (1988), and "Ill At Ease" (1993). The band has toured extensively throughout the world and has shared the stage with such acts as Nine Inch Nails, Ministry, and KMFDM.
