Amado Espinoza

Amado Espinoza is a versatile musician, composer, and instrument maker from Cochabamba, Bolivia. His journey into music began at the age of nine, where he first encountered the Andean pan flute, known as a Sikus. Espinoza's career spans a wide range of genres, from baroque to country and Arabic to African music. He is known for his ability to play nearly 40 different instruments and has collaborated with various artists across multiple projects. In addition to his musical talents, Espinoza crafts unique instruments, blending traditional designs with modern elements, such as his "Charbanjo," which combines the Andean charango with the American banjo. He has been based in Kansas City since 2014, where he continues to create and innovate in the music scene.

Espinoza's work includes founding and producing albums for the world music ensemble Tribu Kona and collaborating with notable artists. He has also been involved in educational and community projects, emphasizing the importance of music as a universal language. His recent projects include recording a new album with other musicians in Kansas City. Espinoza's dedication to his craft is evident in his extensive practice sessions and his commitment to continuously developing new skills, both musically and in the business side of his artistry.
