Euge Groove, whose real name is Steven Eugene Grove, is a contemporary smooth jazz saxophonist with a knack for crafting catchy melodies and grooves that have earned him considerable acclaim in the jazz community. Born on November 27, 1962, in Hagerstown, Maryland, he started playing piano in the second grade and picked up the saxophone at the age of nine. His early years were spent honing his skills in the bands of school and later at the University of Miami's School of Music. Euge's career as a professional musician took off in the 1980s, and he gained recognition playing for a series of popular artists, such as Exposé, Joe Cocker, Eurythmics, The Gap Band, Huey Lewis and the News, Elton John, Bonnie Raitt, Aaron Neville, and Richard Marx.
