Liebrecht Vanbeckevoort is a Belgian concert pianist who made a splash on the international music scene in 2007. Born in Mechelen in 1984, he became a finalist in the prestigious Queen Elisabeth Competition in Brussels, snagging sixth place and the City of Brussels Prize. That same year, he got to show off his skills as a guest soloist at the Night of the Proms.
Vanbeckevoort's been busy since then, performing around the world and racking up an impressive discography. He's released albums covering a wide range of classical composers, from Liszt and Mendelssohn to Bach and Stravinsky. As an official Steinway Artist, he's played with top-notch orchestras and shared the stage with other talented musicians. When he's not touring or recording, you might find him teaching piano at LUCA School of Arts in Leuven or hanging out with his family - he's a dad of four who enjoys football, tennis, and gardening in his spare time.
