Duo Teres

Duo Teres is a Czech chamber music ensemble formed in 2007. The duo consists of violinist Lucia Kopsová and guitarist Tomáš Honěk, who met while studying chamber music at the Janáček Academy of Music and Performing Arts in Brno under the guidance of Miloš Vacek. Their repertoire spans from Baroque to 20th-century music, with a focus on works originally composed for violin and guitar, as well as pieces by contemporary Czech and international composers. Duo Teres has received several notable awards, including first prizes at the Concorso di chitarra classica Enrico Mercatali in Gorizia, Italy, and the international chamber music competition in Vidnava, Czech Republic. They have also participated in masterclasses with renowned pedagogues like Alexis Muzourakis and Marco Socías.

Their recent releases include "Shakespeare's Sonnets" and "Prague Kaleidoscope," showcasing their versatility and dedication to exploring diverse musical themes. Duo Teres continues to perform and innovate within the chamber music scene, offering audiences a unique blend of traditional and modern compositions.
