Joe Locke is a Grammy-nominated vibraphonist and composer known for his innovative approach to jazz. Born in 1959 in Morristown, New Jersey, Locke began playing the vibraphone at the age of 10. He studied at Berklee College of Music and later moved to New York City, where he quickly established himself as a rising star in the jazz scene. Locke has collaborated with a wide range of musicians, including McCoy Tyner, Chick Corea, and Herbie Hancock. He has also released several critically acclaimed albums as a leader, including "Makram" and "Love for Sale."
