Gangrena

Gangrena is a death metal band from San Carlos, Chile, formed at the end of 2004 by Francisco Meriño. Initially, Meriño envisioned a four-song demo project, which later evolved into a full-fledged band with the addition of Victor Palavecino, Claudio Aguilera, and Javier Larroucau in 2006. In 2008, Gangrena recorded their debut LP, "PUTREFACCIÓN," which gained acclaim locally. The band has since expanded its sound, incorporating new members and releasing notable albums like "DE VUELTA AL TERROR," their self-titled "GANGRENA," and more recently, "Oscuro Tormento". Their music and visuals often incorporate elements of horror and death metal aesthetics.

Throughout their career, Gangrena has maintained a strong connection to their region and have been involved in various productions, including promotional video clips directed by noted horror film director Patricio Valladares. The band's recent releases continue their tradition of intense, heavy metal music, reflecting their growth and dedication to their genre.
