Burning Hearts

Burning Hearts is an indie pop band that hails from the picturesque coastal town of Porvoo, Finland. Founded in 2006, the duo consists of Jessika Rapo (vocals, keyboards) and Henry Ojala (drums), both of whom previously played in the band Le Futur Pompiste. Their sound is characterized by ethereal synthesizers, jangly guitars, and Rapo's soothing vocals, creating dreamy soundscapes with an undercurrent of melancholic Nordic sentiment.

With multiple successful releases under their belt, Burning Hearts have established themselves within the indie music scene, particularly in Northern Europe. Their latest works, including "Extinctions" which poetically reflects on loss and change in our natural world, and "Into the Wilderness," a track that invites listeners on a metaphorical journey through uncharted emotional landscapes, have continued to build on the introspective and exploratory nature of their music. Their collaboration with famed reggae producer Lee "Scratch" Perry on the remix of "Ticket" showcases their versatility and willingness to experiment across genres. Albums like "Aboa Sleeping" and singles such as "Where I Belong" and "Night Animal" further encapsulate Burning Hearts' signature style—a mesmerizing blend of indie pop influenced by the haunting beauty of their Nordic roots.
