Pijn

Pijn is a UK-based post-metal band hailing from Manchester, known for their expansive and emotive take on the genre. The band materialized on the music scene with a stirring intensity, first gripping listeners with their debut release "Floodlit" in 2017. This introductory offering was a powerful statement, demonstrating a knack for weaving together intricate guitar work, atmospheric soundscapes, and dynamic song structures that speak volumes of their compositional prowess.

Following their impactful emergence, Pijn continued to cultivate a unique musical identity. Their first full-length album "Loss" arrived in 2018 to critical acclaim within the post-metal and post-rock communities, exploring themes of grief and the human condition. Not content with static expression, the band re-envisioned this piece through "Loss (Remixed & Reimagined)" — an album that delves deeper into the textures and layers of its source material. Pijn's ambition and willingness to explore collaboration manifested in "Curse These Metal Hands" (2019), a genre-blending triumph co-created with fellow UK band Conjurer. The synergy of the two groups gave rise to an exhilarating fusion of sludgy riffs and soaring melodies. More recent collaborations, like "Kobe x Pijn," and tracks such as "Weave In," signify the group's ongoing evolution and relentless pursuit to challenge and redefine the boundaries of heavy music.
