The group consists of Birgitta Björg Guðmarsdóttir on trumpet and vocals, Eydís Egilsdóttir Kvaran on guitar and vocals, Guðný Margrét Eyjólfs on bass and vocals, Iðunn Gígja Kristjánsdóttir on keyboards and vocals, and Sævar Andri Sigurðarson on drums. Originally named Gaia, they changed their name to Ólafur Kram, which is "Mark Ruffalo" spelled backwards, reflecting their playful approach to language and music. They won the Músíktilraunir competition and have been a favorite in the Reykjavík music scene. Their music is characterized by its dynamic nature, often changing direction and style, making each performance unique.
