PRODUCE 101 JAPAN was a Japanese reality competition television series that aired on TBS in 2019. The show was part of the Produce 101 franchise, which has also produced similar shows in South Korea and China. PRODUCE 101 JAPAN featured 101 male trainees from various entertainment agencies competing for a spot in an 11-member boy group. The group, named JO1, was formed through the show and debuted in March 2020.
