Iniquity

Iniquity was a Danish death metal band formed in 1989 in Copenhagen, known for their raw and technical sound. Over their initial 15-year run, they released three full-length albums (*Serenadium*, *Five Across the Eyes*, and *Grime*) and navigated frequent lineup changes while blending thrash, doom, and Lovecraftian themes into their music. Though they announced a reunion in 2012 (around their *The Hidden Lore* EP lineup), their post-2004 activity remains unclear aside from anniversary releases like the 2017 remaster of *Serenadium*.

Their catalog showcases a mix of Brutal/Technical Death Metal intensity and gothic sci-fi storytelling, with later works leaning into mid-paced grooves and atmospheric elements. While not explicitly confirmed as permanently active, the band retains a cult following for their early 2000s output and uncompromising Danish death metal identity.
