Demolition Hammer

Demolition Hammer is a thrash metal band hailing from the Bronx, New York, known for their ferociously fast and aggressive style. The band was originally formed in 1986 by drummer Vinny Daze, guitarist James Reilly, bassist Derek Sykes, with vocalist and guitarist Steve Reynolds solidifying their lineup shortly after. Demolition Hammer made an immediate impact in the underground metal scene with their high-intensity performances and a brutal approach to thrash that bordered on early death metal, endearing them to fans who craved extreme music with no holds barred.

Their debut album, "Tortured Existence," released in 1990, put them on the map with its vicious riffs and relentless pace, setting a standard for the more extreme end of the thrash spectrum. It was followed by "Epidemic of Violence" in 1992, a release that has since been hailed as a classic in the thrash genre due to its unyielding ferocity and technical proficiency. After a significant lineup change, the band released "Time Bomb" in 1994, showcasing a shift in their sound that incorporated a variety of influences. Despite this, the band dissolved soon after its release. Through the years, their legacy endured, leading to the eventual reformation of Demolition Hammer and the re-issue of "Epidemic Of Violence," introducing their devastating sound to a new generation of metal fans.
