Sacred Oath
Sacred Oath is a Connecticut-based heavy metal band that’s been shredding since the mid-’80s, blending classic metal vibes with a modern edge. Formed by guitarist/vocalist Rob Thorne and drummer Kenny Evans, they carved their name into the underground scene with early demos and their cult-classic 1989 debut *A Crystal Vision*. After a hiatus in the ’90s, they roared back in the mid-2000s, dropping albums like *Darkness Visible* and *Ravensong* (which fans still blast today). Known for soaring vocals, twin-guitar harmonies, and lyrics steeped in fantasy and myth, they’ve stayed true to their roots while evolving with releases like *Return of the Dragon* and the Lovecraft-inspired *Cthulhu Wakes*. Whether live (check out *Thunder Underground - Live From NYC*) or in the studio, Sacred Oath keeps the metal flame alive with headbanging anthems and a fiercely loyal fanbase.
