Jonezetta

Jonezetta was a lively dance-rock band hailing from Mississippi, bursting onto the scene in the mid-2000s with their energetic blend of indie rock and danceable grooves. Fronted by charismatic vocalist Robert Chisolm, the group (rounded out by Micah Sweeney on guitar, Dustin Hansen on bass, and John-Mark McGaha on drums) gained traction with their 2006 debut album *Cruel to Be Young* under Tooth & Nail Records. Tracks like "Get Ready (Hot Machete)" showcased their knack for catchy hooks and punchy rhythms, landing them tours with acts like Cartel and Paramore.

Known for their high-voltage live shows, Jonezetta dropped fun releases like the *Sony Connect Set* session and the *Three Songs* EP, leaning into their reputation as purveyors of "party rock." Despite the infectious energy of singles like *Popularity*, the band called it quits around 2008, leaving behind a brief but memorable catalog of fizzy, dancefloor-friendly jams that still pop up in throwback playlists today.
