X Makeena

X Makeena is a French electronic music group from Rennes, Bretagne, active from 2001 to 2011. Their music spans genres like drum and bass, hip-hop, dubstep, and electro. The group initially gained attention with their debut album *Death on the Wax*, which featured collaborations with artists like Sev and Koulechov from Aïwa, and the Mongolian singer Amraa. Following this, they released *Instinctive dérive* in 2007, which further solidified their unique sound. Their final album, *Derrière l'œil*, was released in 2009. Known for their innovative live performances, X Makeena toured extensively across France, Europe, and internationally, including stops in Canada and Asia. The group disbanded in 2011, allowing members to pursue individual projects.
