091

091 is a seminal Spanish rock band originating from Granada, Spain. The band first made waves in the Spanish rock scene in the 1980s with their distinctive blend of rock infused with bluesy undertones. They are known for their poetic lyrics and their raw, energetic rock sound influenced by classic rock acts. Formed by José Ignacio Lapido (guitarist and main songwriter), José Antonio García (vocals), Tacho González (drums), Jacinto Ríos (bass), and Antonio Arias (who later left to form Lagartija Nick), 091 quickly garnered a dedicated following.

Despite a relatively short initial career span, with the band dissolving in 1996, 091 left a lasting legacy in Spanish rock history. Their influence extended beyond their active years, and their music continued to resonate with audiences, culminating in a much-celebrated reunion in 2015 under the name "Maniobra de resurrección." This reunion breathed new life into the band's career, leading to new works such as "La otra vida" in 2019 and a revitalized national interest in their music. With remastered versions of their classic albums such as "El Baile de la Desesperación," and live recordings like "Último Concierto," both new and longtime fans are able to experience the enduring power of 091's music, which remains a testament to the band's significant role in shaping Spanish rock.
