The Birch

**The Birch** is a powerhouse psych-rock trio hailing from Quedlinburg, Germany, dishing out driving riffs, punchy rhythms, and trippy psychedelic vibes that take listeners on a wild spiritual ride through ancient echoes and modern edge. Formed by guitarist/vocalist Lucas Habenreich, bassist Santiago Garcia Echeverri (aka Santi Garcia), and drummer Volker Blath, these guys dropped their debut album *Dazed Dreams* in 2023 before unleashing their second studio effort, *Vicious Mind*, in November 2025 via Tonzonen Records—recorded in Miami Beach for that fresh, twangy twist with Hammond organs, ragtime piano, and even string arrangements on tracks like "Downpour."

Their sound blends vigorous psych rock with a dark, ecstatic edge on side A of *Vicious Mind* that melts into rock 'n' roll grooves on side B, featuring bangers like "Vicious Mind," "Free Your Head," and "Roll'n'Rock" that keep the energy pumping without looking back.
