Los Amaya

Los Amaya are a dynamic Rumba Flamenca duo hailing from the vibrant neighbourhood of Gràcia in Barcelona, Spain. Comprised of brothers José Amaya León and Delfín Amaya León, the duo achieved fame in the 1970s and has been active in various incarnations ever since. Renowned for their energetic fusion of flamenco, rock, and other musical genres, Los Amaya brought traditional Spanish music to a broader audience, while also adapting to the evolving tastes of the era.

Their music is characterized by the passionate flamenco guitar, infectious rhythms, and a blend of modern and traditional sounds that captivated listeners worldwide. Some of their memorable hits include "Vete," "Caramelos," and the evergreen "Zapatero Remendón," which not only showcase their musical versatility but also their ability to create timeless rumbas that transcend generations. Throughout their career, Los Amaya have contributed significantly to the popularization of rumba catalana, a sub-genre of flamenco, and their impact on Spanish music has been unmistakable, as evidenced by both their historic catalog and continued influence on contemporary artists.
