Psychic Ills

Psychic Ills was an American psychedelic rock band that was formed in New York City in 2003. The band consisted of Tres Warren on vocals and guitar and Elizabeth Hart on bass, along with a rotating lineup of supporting musicians. They were known for their distinctive blend of psych-rock, ethereal drone, and shoegaze influences, creating a mesmeric sound that echoes with undercurrents of the '60s and '70s but resonates with modern-day experimentation.

Over the years, Psychic Ills released a number of albums and EPs that helped cement their status in the underground music scene. Among their most notable works include "Hazed Dream" (2011), a drift into more melodic territories, and "One Track Mind" (2013), which featured collaborations with artists like Hope Sandoval from Mazzy Star. Their final studio album, "Inner Journey Out" (2016), showcased their continued evolution as musicians and artists, blending elements of blues, folk, and country into their spacey core. "Live at Levitation" and various singles like "Never Learn Not to Love / Cease to Exist" further exemplify their prolific output and dedication to their craft. Despite the tragic passing of Tres Warren in March 2020, Psychic Ills leaves behind a rich legacy of sound that continues to inspire and captivate new listeners and long-time fans alike.
