Known for her powerful dramatic roles, she excelled in parts like Beethoven's Fidelio, Wagner's Sieglinde, Brünnhilde, and Isolde, and also embraced contemporary works, notably premiering the role of Countess de la Roche in Zimmermann's *Die Soldaten* in 1965.
