Runes Order

Runes Order is a dark ambient project founded by Claudio Dondo in Genoa, Italy. The project began in 1988 under the name Order 1968, with the name change to Runes Order occurring in 1992. Runes Order's music is characterized by dark electronic sounds, often drawing comparisons to the more somber elements of renowned electronic music acts, such as Tangerine Dream. The band's early works were primarily released on cassette tapes and were distributed through limited channels, making their music relatively hard to access. Over the years, Runes Order has produced a substantial discography, including notable releases such as "Odisseum," "The Land of Silence," and "Winter." Despite a period of inactivity around 2004, Runes Order remains associated with the dark ambient genre.

Recent activity or updates about the band's status have been scarce, but their discography continues to reflect the project's roots in the somber and introspective aspects of electronic music.
