Yoyoyo Acapulco

Yoyoyo Acapulco is a Norwegian indie pop band formed in 2006, with Arne Martin Barlund as the founding member and creative force. The group's sound has evolved over the years, transitioning from a larger ensemble to a duo featuring Barlund and longtime bassist Anja Hellstrand. Their music is characterized by lo-fi, twee pop sensibilities, with simple yet effective arrangements often featuring ukulele, bass, and harmonizing boy-girl vocals. Yoyoyo Acapulco's style draws inspiration from indie acts like Pavement, Beat Happening, and The Moldy Peaches, while cultivating their own unique voice within the genre.
