Sam Rosenthal

Sam Rosenthal is an American musician, composer, and founder of the influential darkwave and ethereal music label Projekt Records. Best known as the creative force behind the long-running ambient/darkwave project Black Tape for a Blue Girl, Rosenthal has been a central figure in atmospheric and introspective music since the 1980s. His solo work explores deeply textured ambient soundscapes, often blending electronic and organic elements to create immersive listening experiences.

Recently, Rosenthal has released a series of meditative and experimental albums, including collaborations that integrate technologies like Hemi-Sync®, as well as tributes such as Tim, where are you now?, honoring Timothy Leary. His music often explores themes of memory, time, and existential introspection, appealing to fans of ambient, electronic, and contemplative music genres.
