Armas Järnefelt (1869–1958) was a Finnish composer and conductor known for his contributions to early Finnish orchestral music. A contemporary of Jean Sibelius—who was also his brother-in-law—Järnefelt wrote symphonic works, piano pieces, and songs that showcased his lyrical and expressive style. His best-known composition, *Berceuse*, remains a popular piece in Scandinavian classical repertoire. Beyond composing, he played a significant role in Sweden’s musical scene, serving as a conductor in various opera houses. His work bridged Finnish and Swedish musical traditions, making him an influential figure in Nordic classical music.
