Wojciech Koprowski

Wojciech Koprowski is a renowned Polish violinist, celebrated both as a soloist and a chamber musician. Since 2007, he has been a key member of the Meccore String Quartet, one of the leading ensembles of their generation, performing on prestigious stages worldwide, including the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, Philharmonie de Paris, and Wigmore Hall in London. He graduated from the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw and further honed his skills studying chamber music in Berlin, Brussels, and Madrid. Koprowski has earned 15 international and national awards and has a rich discography with labels like Warner Music and Cd Accord, receiving multiple accolades such as the Fryderyk and Supersonic Awards.

Beyond his performing career, Koprowski is a dedicated educator, teaching violin and chamber music at the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw and the Krzysztof Penderecki Academy of Music in Kraków. He also offers masterclasses globally and serves on juries for music competitions. Known for his deep commitment to classical music, he is one of the few violinists to perform all of Eugène Ysaÿe’s Sonatas for Solo Violin Op. 27. Koprowski plays a historic 1775 Giuseppe Gagliano violin, adding a unique voice to his expressive performances.
