Gen Tomuro

Gen Tomuro is a talented Japanese pianist making waves in the classical music scene. Born in Tokyo, he spent his early years in San Francisco and Boston, where he attended the Walnut Hill School for the Arts. Tomuro was the youngest student of renowned professor Wha-Kyung Byun at the New England Conservatory of Music.

In 2006, Tomuro began studying under Philippe Entremont in Paris as his sole apprentice. He later earned a Master of Arts with Distinction from the Royal Academy of Music in London in 2018. Tomuro has performed with various orchestras and chamber groups across Europe, North America, and South America. His repertoire includes works by composers like Francis Poulenc, as evidenced by his album "Gen Tomuro x Francis Poulenc".
