12 Stones

12 Stones is an American post-grunge band that originated from Mandeville, Louisiana. Founded in 2000, the band's name was inspired by the biblical story of the Israelites memorializing their crossing of the Jordan River with twelve stones. The group quickly gained a following with their emotive lyrics and hard-hitting sound that blend elements of rock and nu-metal. Members consist of lead vocalist Paul McCoy, guitarist Eric Weaver, bassist Sean Dunaway, and drummer Aaron Gainer, though their lineup has seen changes over the years.

The band catapulted to recognition when their frontman, McCoy, lent his voice to the Evanescence hit "Bring Me to Life," winning a Grammy in the process. Since then, 12 Stones has consistently released a series of albums and singles showcasing their resilience and adaptability in the rock landscape. Their fourth album, "Beneath the Scars," released in 2012, continued to refine their sound with tracks that combined compelling melodies with introspective lyrics. Over their career, 12 Stones has maintained a loyal fan base, and their music has been featured in numerous films and television shows, adding to their visibility and appeal. Their later works, such as "Picture Perfect" released in 2017, solidify their commitment to producing authentic rock music while exploring themes of struggle, triumph, and the human condition. With a blend of aggressive guitar riffs, powerful vocals, and raw lyrical content, 12 Stones has secured their place in the rock genre as a beacon for the underdogs and a voice for the resilient.
