Gudrun Lange & Kactus

Gudrun Lange is a German country music singer, songwriter, and composer, best known as the lead vocalist of the band Kactus. Born in 1964 in Karl-Marx-Stadt, Lange grew up in Flöha and began her musical career after winning a talent competition at the age of 15. She joined Kactus in the early 1980s, and the band became a prominent figure in European country music. Notable achievements include participating in the international Country Festival in Mrągowo, Poland, and being invited by the Bellamy Brothers to perform at the Snake Rattle & Roll Jam in Florida. Gudrun Lange has been recognized as one of the best country singers in Germany by the German American Country Music Federation.

Kactus has released several albums and singles, including "Du und Ich," which marked a comeback for the band in 2011. Their music often features collaborations with international artists, such as Holly Dunn and Suzy Bogguss.
