Joey Alexander is an Indonesian jazz pianist and child prodigy who has garnered critical acclaim from an early age for his sophisticated playing and compositions. He was born Josiah Alexander Sila on June 25, 2003, in Bali, Indonesia. Introduced to jazz at age six by his father, Joey quickly took to the piano and by the age of 10, had already won the Grand Prix at the 2013 Master-Jam Fest, an all-ages competition in Ukraine. His incredible talent drew the attention of jazz luminaries and media alike.

In 2015, at the age of 11, Joey Alexander released his first album, "My Favorite Things," which earned him two Grammy nominations, making him one of the youngest Grammy nominees in history. He continued to impress both the jazz community and the public with his maturity, depth, and technical mastery. Over the years, Joey has released several albums, successful both critically and commercially, like "Warna" (2020) and most recently, "Origin" (2022). His works, such as "Under The Sun," "SALT," and "Summer Rising" demonstrate not only his ability to interpret standards with a fresh perspective but also his skill as a composer.
