Marcus King

Marcus King is a prodigiously talented American blues rock guitarist, singer, and songwriter hailing from Greenville, South Carolina. Born on March 11, 1996, King comes from a long lineage of musicians and by the tender age of 11, he was already following in the footsteps of his father and grandfather by playing guitar and performing live. His soulful voice, which carries the depths of Southern roots and the heart of blues history, complements his skilful guitar playing that belies his young age.

In 2016, The Marcus King Band released their self-titled second album which was produced by Warren Haynes, showcasing King's virtuosity and establishing him as a rising star in the blues and rock scene. After a series of successful albums and collaborations, Marcus King gained widespread recognition and critical acclaim for his first solo album, "El Dorado," in 2020, produced by Dan Auerbach of The Black Keys. The album earned King a Grammy nomination, cementing his status as a distinct voice in Americana and southern rock. His subsequent releases, including "Young Blood," "Blues Worse Than I Ever Had," and "Blood on the Tracks," have continued to demonstrate his powerful blend of rock, blues, country, and soul, earning him respect among contemporaries and legends alike, and confirming his place as a burgeoning force in the modern music landscape.
