Levert

LeVert was an influential American R&B vocal group, formed in Cleveland, Ohio, in 1983, primarily consisting of brothers Gerald and Sean Levert and friend Marc Gordon. The group is renowned for their dynamic blend of soulful harmonies, passionate delivery, and keen incorporation of New Jack Swing—a fusion genre prevalent in the late 1980s and early 1990s. LeVert carved a niche for themselves with a series of hits that combined the smooth, seductive elements of R&B with the rhythmic, upbeat tempo of dance music, perfectly encapsulated in tracks such as "Casanova," which became one of their signature songs.

Throughout their career, LeVert consistently delivered albums that resonated with fans and critics alike. Their discography, including albums like "Bloodline" (1986), "The Big Throwdown" (1987), and "Just Coolin'" (1988), underscored their ability to evolve with the changing sounds of R&B while maintaining their unique identity. The late 1980s and early 1990s represented the peak of their commercial success, with albums like "Rope a Dope Style" (1990) and "For Real Tho'" (1993) highlighting their adaptability and lasting appeal in the music industry. Despite the untimely death of Gerald Levert in 2006, the group's legacy endures, with their music continuing to inspire new generations of R&B artists and fans around the world.
