Prince Kudakwashe Musarurwa

Prince Kudakwashe Musarurwa was a gifted Zimbabwean Afro-Jazz singer, songwriter, producer, and musician. Born on December 5 or 6, 1988, he developed his passion for music early on, participating in his school choir and later studying at the Zimbabwe College of Music. His music career took off with his debut album "Kurarama" in 2011, followed by albums such as "Garamuberevere" (2012), "Gogodera" (2013), and "Chiga Chikuru" (2014). Musarurwa gained notable recognition for his collaboration with Pah Chihera on the song "Runonzi Rudo" in 2013, and his music was influenced by family roots, including his grandfather, Augustine Musarurwa, composer of the iconic song "Skokiaan".

Musarurwa's musical talents led him to tours in the UK and the US, where he performed at several prominent venues. Sadly, he passed away on February 15, 2020, at the age of 31, losing his battle with lung cancer. Despite his short career, he left an indelible mark on Zimbabwe's music scene and beyond.
