Graveshadow

Graveshadow is a symphonic metal band from Sacramento, California, formed in 2012 by rhythm guitarist William Walker. Their sound blends symphonic and gothic metal with elements of power, death, thrash, and doom, often weaving fantasy-themed lyrics and dark tales into their music. They debuted with an EP in 2014 and their first full-length album, *Nocturnal Resurrection*, came out in 2015, earning praise for its epic melodies and diverse metal influences. Their 2018 follow-up, *Ambition’s Price*, saw the band shift somewhat towards power metal with layered vocals and a more epic production style, featuring new lead guitarist Aaron Robitsch.

Over time, Graveshadow experienced lineup changes, eventually slimming down to Walker and Robitsch until they found vocalist Rachl “Raxx” Quinn and bassist Luci Rae to reform the band. Their newer material, including songs like “Gwynnbleidd,” inspired by *The Witcher* series, continues to showcase their dynamic range and storytelling prowess. Known for their energetic live performances and a growing following in the U.S. metal scene, Graveshadow remains a strong presence with releases such as *The Uncertain Hour* and the ongoing work with M-Theory Audio label.
