Musica Sequenza is a contemporary classical music ensemble founded in 1977 by flutist Barbara Thornton. The group is known for its innovative interpretations of early music, often incorporating elements of jazz, improvisation, and world music. Musica Sequenza has released over 30 albums, including "Kassia," "Sampling Baroque Bach," and "Monteverdi Vertigo." The ensemble has toured extensively throughout Europe, North America, and Asia, and has collaborated with a wide range of artists, including John Cage, Meredith Monk, and the Kronos Quartet.
