Artur Pizarro is a Portuguese pianist known for his sensitive and poetic interpretations of a wide range of repertoire, from Baroque to contemporary. Born in Lisbon in 1957, he began playing the piano at the age of four and made his professional debut at the age of 12. Pizarro has performed with major orchestras around the world and has recorded over 50 albums, including the complete piano concertos of Beethoven and Mozart. He is also a dedicated chamber musician and has collaborated with renowned artists such as cellist Steven Isserlis and violinist Gil Shaham.
