Akikazu Nakamura is a master shakuhachi player deeply rooted in Japan's Zen Buddhist musical traditions. Specializing in preserving regional styles, his work showcases the haunting, meditative tones of the bamboo flute across historic schools like Myoan Shinpo and Kinko. Recent releases like *"Nesting of Cranes"* and *"The Voice of Deer Heard from Away"* highlight his dedication to Edo- and Kyoto-era repertoire, while *"SAJI"* and *"Reibo"* document lesser-known rural komuso (monk) traditions from Tohoku and Hokuriku.
